Have you ever lost something?
Like really lost,
Tonight I “lost” my Bible.
Not just my Bible but mine and Derek’s couples bible.
Not just our Bible but my pawpaws Bible with all the notes of him being called into ministry.
And not just my bibles but a notebook that has so many Words and visions from the Lord. From last year.
Very special.
Very God.
Very I don’t even know if I even have the words for, for sure.
Something that can’t be replaced as far seeing it and it being lost.
The notes.
The Revelation.
The legacy.
The history.
The handwriting.
Gone.
Lost.
Not found.
Well I cried.
I prayed.
I cried.
I prayed.
I tried to get my brain to work on when I had them last and tried to replay my steps.
All the things we do when we lose something.
Right?
Well I didn’t panic.
I know there was purpose in it.
As I drive to work to check my office only to find it NOT there, I got back in the car.
Praying and crying again but this time it was from Gods standpoint.
To me.
This was a piece of heaven on earth.
And I went searching.
Pjs and all.
What if, we all went searching for God like that?
What if, when we realized He was not present in the situation we stop, drop everything, go “just as we are” and seek until….
seek until….
We find Him.
Needless to say I traced my steps back to Thursday night prayer.
I didn’t think I took it into church but I did. And sure enough I pull up to the front door and with my lights on bright shining into the church front door.
There’s my case. There’s my bibles
There’s my notebook.
There’s my beautiful slice of heaven.
There’s my God…
What if, we do find Him in the church doors.
Just waiting on us? To come to Him.
What if He is to be found right where your head leads.
By definition the word lost means
unable to find one’s way; not knowing one’s whereabouts
unable to be found.
God doesn’t want any of His precious Children lost.
And like I went seeking tonight.
God goes seeking for you.
Wanting to meet you right where you are.
Real
Raw
Vulnerable
Even in the evens.
Even If
Even when
Even now
Even tho
Even still.
He seeks you.
If you have 2 seeking hearts after each other, that becomes One Heart together.
Hes seeking you.
You’re seeking Him.
Ahhh what a moment when you two find each other.
I just love the thought of it and want to see you be found in the arms of the Savior.
He’s waiting on you.
Never lost.
Don’t stop seeking Him.
He’s right there.
Jeremiah 29:13
You will seek me and you will find me when you seek with all your heart.
Tonight in seeking out my Bible God was showing me so much.
One think I’ll share is sometimes it take pressing on. Moving forward. Not giving up. Knocking and knocking until the door is open. When you know the answer.
When you know it’s Gods plan to provide here.
Don’t give up. Keep going.
Until…..
Ps… side note. You can find God right where you are. He will meet you right now in a moment. As far as church, we all need to gather together, break bread, fellowship and worship and praise together. We were created to need each other. We were created to come together in unity.
The church body is so important.
I would be so lost without my village. And this go s beyond even just our church home but everyone in our lives. You have been the hands and feet to us during this beautiful journey.
This is why “the church” is so important.
I encourage you.
