the Cost and Joy go hand in hand

Somedays I look back at the day and wonder how I did it.

Today is one of them.

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When I tell you I know the Lord is my strength and He is carrying me and our babies, He is…

Because we give it all to Him.

Don’t let the smiles fool you.

The struggle is hard.

Hard…

Some days I cry alone.
Some days they cry alone.
But all days we chose to be in Christ.

This morning in worship i was reminded of “the cost” so so heavily.

Tears streaming down my face, my heart went to her, you know the one, she washed His feet with her tears….
But here is the thing….

The Cost, so great as it is, is so so worth the Presence it brings.

The cost, tho Leaving me broken and fragile, brings me to His beauty.

And I behold Him….

Today, He ever so sweetly spoke to me…

That’s my joy rolling down your cheeks….

You see, it ain’t about not experiencing the weigh of the cost…. But rather it’s about running to Him in the heavy.

He says His yoke is easy and his burden is light….

In His presence, we are too.

Easy and light….

The cost and the Joy go hand in hand.

This side of heaven can be hard…. Will be hard… is hard….

But like my beautiful friend Emily Kindt shared with me….

We can do hard things…

With God…

Without Him, hard will crush us… it will break us… it will destroy us…

With Him…. Ohhh in the crushing and the breaking, He will bring new wine….

Jason aldean sings a beautiful song…

You make it easy…

This was a song that helped carried me back to Derek several years ago and is still up in our room today…

“You make it easy”

As now I sing that to Jesus.

Sharing this with you to really share the struggle.

I know so many of you are struggling and i want you to know…

You are NOT alone.

I love you.. 💙🇺🇸🪽💜

Ps let me add. Todays photo shoot brought to you today at the “Garden”

Bre wanted to visit her daddy….

In a beautiful moment of joy. Not sadness. < 3
