Do you know in Exodus, it tells us, in the death is the glory?
God has shown me in the weeks as our surrendering prayer for the last 3 years has been Lord take us, bless us, break us, and give (send us).
The breaking, IS the Blessing.
In Hebrews Christ shows us how to be broken with great Joy…
Just as He was.
Paying attention and keeping His eyes on the Joy before Him…. Me and You.
”Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.“

This weekend was hard.
I have discovered I don’t like that word and when I don’t like a Word, I always ask God for a good Word.
But this one. He told me to embrace it.
In the hard, if I let Him, He has promised me…
“They will make it easy.”

Embracing the Hard, Jesus makes it easy. (He’s got some added help not that He needs it but.. derek Gets to. :))
Just like our weakness.
If we embrace it… Jesus strength is made perfect!
So joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength.
Tho hard, this weekend was amazing. Date night. Ball. Ministry and worship. A few of our favorite things.
Heaven on earth every where we turned..
We are chosing to grab a hold of the Joy in front of us.
Jesus.
Our Kids.
Our Family.
Our friends.
Our circles.
Our villages.
Our Joys.
Together. Hand in hand.
A hard day in the world given to Christ is an easy day in light of eternity.
