Tonight I was doing a zoom Bible study with some friends and instead of doing inside at our desk, I decided last minute to go outside. Yes. In the 93 degree weather.
My heart just needed to be outside.
As I’m sitting there listening, I prop my hand on my chin and my heart started thinking about the last time I seen my handsome husband face to face.
The last time I seen him.
The last time I looked in those beautiful blue eyes that was created to see me.
The last time I smiled so big at him and he winked at me with his crooked grin.
The last time I seen his cute little wrinkles in the corners of his eyes.
The last time I seen his lips with those soft sweet kiss lines.
The last time I was able to see his salt and pepper cute little beard.
The last time I got to see those little wrinkles on his forehead and watch his eyes just smile at me.
The last time I was able to “see” him.
The last time I was able to see him “see” me.
As I’m sitting there letting my heart feel every moment of this…. (Sweet friend. Let your heart feel all the things.)
I all of a sudden I felt the warmth of the sun on my back.
I sit there and embraced it for a minute with my eyes closed so tight just breathing in the moment
those beautiful windchimes started to blow and sing that sweet sweet lullaby my heart hears every single time.
“I love you baby.”
And then my heart just exploded in praise….
On you are the God that sees me.
And in seeing me, you move all of heaven and earth to meet me in my moment and let me know….
He still sees me…
And I still see him…
Because you God! You are the God who sees us and moves on our behalf.
I went to get the scripture to share. We all know it.
Hagar gave God a name…
El Roi
The God who sees me.
So I went to copy and paste the scripture for you to read but I found this too.
💙💙💙💙💙🪽
You are the God who sees me” appears in the Bible in Genesis 16:13, when Hagar says this to the Lord after he speaks to her. Hagar says this because she realizes that God sees and cares for her, even in this place. She goes on to give the Lord other names, including “El Roi”, “The God Who Watches Over Me”, “The God who reveals himself”, and “The God who looks upon me”. In Hebrew, “El Roi” translates to “The God Who Sees Me”. “

Please go read her story.
There is a piece of you and your story to be found there.
No matter where you find yourself or what your story is, God sees you and He wants to move on your behalf.
He has never left you.
Seek Him in everything.
Gosh yall, we make it so hard, but it’s not.
Seek Him.
He sees you sweet friend.
He has everything you need.
Call out to Him.
What are you wanting for?
Even today, in a moment of my heart remembering, God seen me right there, longing and desiring in the quiet of the day, and He came and sit with me right there in it.
I know things look a lot different in my life than we had planned them to but honestly.
His plans are greater and my heart has never felt so close to Him.
And not only to Him, but to Derek too.
We were never meant to be of this world.
Citizens of Heaven, just passing by.
In that passing by, I don’t want to waste a moment not loving.
I don’t want to waste a moment of not feeling.
Or not getting to experience Heaven on Earth while I can.
And to share it.
Share Him.
Share Jesus.
And I don’t want you to miss those moments either.
Oh joy and strength and Hope comes only from Jesus. Nothing that I can do or you can do except surrender to Him.
I told someone earlier.
Grief in the hands of the enemy leads to pure destruction but grief in the hands of our Savior is His beautiful Glory.
Up from the ashes.
Hope will arise.
In your situations….
Will you let Hope come in today and really see you, so He can bring about what your heart needs?
No one else can sweet friend.
No one else can.
Only Jesus.
