The past couple of mornings I have gotten up in complete longing…
Praying.
Seeking.
Asking.
Calling out.
Real Raw Vulnerable Longing with the Lord.
If we cant be real with Him, who can we be real with?
In faithfulness of running to Him… He so so sweetly met me right there….
In the middle of my longing, He embraced…
He provided.
He touched.
He held.
He spoke.
“Dont forget my promises to you….”
I didnt instantly run to my promise… i had to remember….
Not that i forgot but when we get distracted so to speak, something else becomes our focus, even when we dont mean for it to…
So i had to admit, i put this promise in the back of my mind….
What promise Lord?
“Isaiah 54…. My promises to you havent changed..”
And my heart whispered
“Stretching our tent pegs.”
Whew….
A promise He gave us 14 years ago… the Nations…
And confirmed even deeper 7 years ago….
Derek told me no we are not adding on lol.
This made me giggle this morning…
How can the Lord give us the Nations if we never stretch?
And stretching hurts…
Comfortable and complacent all while being uncomfortabe and expectant…
It’s a balance thats so easily unbalanced….
The key is… Presence..
His Presence!
If you have some buried promises, i encourage you to slow down and dig them back up….
He has not changed His Promises to you.
No, they may not look like you expected BUT they are still His promises to you.
Dig them back up and open your heart back up to your whispered yes and Let God have that… and take it day by day and see where He leads…
Even in the hard. Hes good.
Even in the broken.
Hes Good.
Even in your shattering plans, His are still good.
Even in fear to plan, His plan is still good.
Run to Him. Not from Him…
““Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities.”
Isaiah 54:2-3 NLT
