I got the privilege of talking with a sweet sweet lady earlier in the week and she asked me this question.
“How’s your heart?”
“It’s good.”
as I utter the Words.
I had the most beautiful vision of my sweet handsome husband standing next to Jesus.
So perfectly so beautifully and those eyes just a shining back at me.
Ahhh my heart, my hearts good. My heart has to be be good because how can it not be when you see Jesus face to face and the other half of your heart standing right next to Him smiling.
It’s good.
It’s easy to say “it’s good.”
But KNOWING and BELIEVING and feeling with everything inside you that, He has you…. God has us.
TRUSTING that you can really in fact trust Him…
No matter what…
It’s good.
These words and this conversation has resounded in my heart and mind the past few days and I started singing
“it is well with my soul.”
Isaiah 66:12-13
2nd Corinthians 3:13-18
Philippians 1:12-26
2nd Thessalonians 3:16
Are just a few scriptures I have read this morning.
One being Paul in the middle of prison.
And His heart is good.
All throughout the Bible you see pain and heartache.
Even Jesus experienced it.
He wept.
He cried out to God.
He wanted different outcomes…
But His heart.
His heart is good.
His soul is well.
So this morning as I was replaying this conversation over and over again…
I thought of you.
How’s your heart?
Do you need a listening ear?
Do you need comfort in a moment of grief? (And let me add, grief comes in all different kind of forms for all different kind of reasons.)
Do you need Loved in a moment of feeling alone?
Do you need encouragement because you’re facing something so discouraging?
Do you need a pure hug?
A touch?
A hand to hold?
Friend, I genuinely ask you…
How’s your heart?
I got to talk out this moment as it happened with a complete stranger and in that heavenly moment, she became connected to our story, all because she cared.
All because she believed too.
Gosh sweet friend.
You are not alone.
Please reach out if you need anything at all.
We are all here for each other. To help each others heart be good.
Even when everything within your circumstances tells you this ain’t good.
It is….
I love you beautiful friends.
Ps… let me add.
My hearts been very sad.
My heart aches.
My hearts been very confused.
My heart don’t understand sometimes.
My hearts been broken.
My heart is attached to a cord not easily broken that’s stretched from heaven to earth.
And that stretching is hard sometimes.
My heart has longings.
My heart needs things.
So please know…. What your sweet little heart is going through, is ok.
God just wants it.
Just as it is.
He just wants to Love you through it all.
Making it Good because He’s the one holding it.
